Warranty Programme

Industry-Leading Coverage for Hyperspan™ Cabling

At Hyperspan, we design extended-reach Cat6 copper cable for demanding real-world deployments — from long-distance PoE installations to enterprise environments. To give you confidence in every deployment, Hyperspan is supported by a structured Warranty & Testing Programme covering product integrity, verification, and support.

Hyperspan 25-Year System Warranty

01

Warranty Coverage

25-year system warranty

Qualifying Hyperspan installed system products are covered by a 25-year system warranty from the date of registration, subject to approved installation, testing and the full Hyperspan warranty terms.

If Hyperspan is found not to meet published specifications under normal installation and use, we will support you with an appropriate remedy in line with our warranty terms.

Refer to the full Warranty Terms & Conditions at the bottom of this page.

Covered

  • Material defects
  • Manufacturing faults
  • Premature performance degradation under normal use

Not covered

  • Improper installation or termination
  • Misuse, physical damage, crushing, cuts, or abrasion
  • Unauthorised modifications or non-approved components
  • Use outside published environmental or application limits

02

Confidence Through Testing

Hyperspan is validated through structured test programmes aligned to recognised industry parameters.

Laboratory verification

  • Insertion loss (attenuation) profiling
  • Near-end and far-end crosstalk (NEXT, FEXT)
  • Impedance stability and balance checks
  • Propagation delay and pair-to-pair delay skew

PoE power delivery verification

Hyperspan supports PoE delivery across extended distances, including:

  • PoE (IEEE 802.3af)
  • PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at)
  • PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt)

Power delivery validation focuses on stability over distance, including DC resistance behaviour, end-device power availability, and avoidance of thermal or voltage-drop failure conditions in typical deployments.

Compliance & standards alignment

Channel performanceISO/IEC 11801 / EN 50173
Electrical parametersANSI/TIA-568
PoE power deliveryIEEE 802.3af/at/bt

These benchmarks support interoperability with a wide range of switches, PoE injectors, and end devices when installed in accordance with recommended practices.

03

Official Testing & Certification Tools

Hyperspan supports professional verification on Fluke Networks Versiv / DSX CableAnalyzer and AEM TestPro platforms. Download the Hyperspan Fluke custom test limit, install guide and sample LinkWare results from the Testing & Certification page.

Fluke DSX profile

Import the Hyperspan 200 m / 1 Gb Channel_V2 JSON limit onto supported Versiv V2 / DSX units for extended-reach Autotest.

AEM TestPro

AEM TestPro CV100 copper certification workflows are also supported for professional field verification and reporting.

Project documentation

Export tester reports for handover packs, QA records and warranty support evidence.

Availability of specific profiles and limits depends on tester model and firmware release. If you need confirmation for your exact unit, we can advise on supported versions and recommended settings.

04

How the Warranty Works

1

Register your product

Register your Hyperspan products using your purchase invoice, reel/serial information, and installation address. Registered projects receive faster support and access to documentation.

2

Document the issue

If a product issue is suspected, capture installation photos, record any test results, and describe the observed behaviour. Our team will guide diagnostics and next steps.

3

Remedy

Where a covered defect is confirmed, Hyperspan will provide an appropriate remedy in line with our warranty terms, which may include replacement product and technical support to minimise downtime.

05

Certified Testing Partners & Installer Verification

Our certified testing partners are Fluke Networks and AEM. Hyperspan products are available for selection within supported Fluke and AEM testers on firmware releases issued after 2026, enabling installers to apply Hyperspan-specific test limits and generate consistent, professional test reports.

Important: Availability of specific Hyperspan profiles depends on tester model and firmware version. If you want us to confirm compatibility for your exact unit, share the tester model and firmware number and we’ll advise.

What is verified during installation

Hyperspan verification is designed to confirm that an extended-reach channel has been installed correctly and is operating within expected electrical and PoE performance boundaries. Test parameters may include:

Insertion Loss (IL)

attenuation across frequency to confirm the channel is within expected loss limits over extended lengths.

Return Loss (RL)

reflections caused by impedance mismatch, often linked to termination quality, bend radius, and connector selection.

Near-End Crosstalk (NEXT)

coupling measured at the transmit end to validate pair geometry balance and termination quality.

Far-End Crosstalk / ACR-F

coupling at the far end and related signal-to-noise margins that become increasingly important on longer runs.

Propagation Delay & Delay Skew

timing alignment between pairs to support stable link negotiation and throughput over distance.

DC Resistance & Resistance Unbalance

key indicators for PoE stability, voltage drop behaviour, and heat under load.

Extended-reach limits & pass/fail reporting

When a Hyperspan profile is selected on a supported tester, the instrument applies the relevant extended-reach limits and calculates pass/fail results against those thresholds. This allows installers to:

  • Confirm channel performance integrity on long runs (including extended-reach applications where standard Cat6 limits may not be appropriate).
  • Identify common installation issues quickly (termination quality, impedance discontinuities, excessive bend radius, or unexpected coupling).
  • Export traceable reports for handover documentation, QA, and warranty support evidence.

Note: exact limits, supported parameters, and reporting outputs vary by tester platform and firmware. Hyperspan support can provide recommended settings and guidance aligned to your specific deployment type (CCTV, Wi-Fi, access control, etc.).
