Technical questions
Hyperspan XR™ extends practical Ethernet and PoE reach on copper. Real-world results depend on channel design, termination quality, PoE load and device tolerance.
Hyperspan XR is designed to support Gigabit Ethernet (1 Gbps) over extended distances in point-to-point deployments. Actual negotiated speed depends on the connected equipment, channel quality and length. Hyperspan Core Category systems follow their Category class (e.g. Cat5e / Cat6 / Cat6A / Cat7A) within conventional channel design.
Pro tip: On extended links, the weakest point is usually the connector, not the cable. If anything looks questionable, re-terminate.
Note: performance depends on installation quality and connected device tolerance.

Choose XR for extended edge runs, Core for conventional structured cabling, or combine both on the same estate.
Hyperspan XR is engineered for extended-reach Ethernet and PoE beyond conventional 100 m channels — typically edge cameras, ANPR, campus links and remote endpoints. Hyperspan Core is the complete Category copper portfolio (Cat5e–Cat7A) for conventional structured cabling: horizontal, riser and work-area channels with matched connectivity.
Product selection
Choosing the right variant matters — internal vs external, CPR rating, reel length, Voice pair count and industrial jacket type.
Standard Cat6 is designed around a 100 m channel. Hyperspan XR is engineered to extend practical reach for Ethernet/PoE deployments where additional cabinets, extenders or fibre would otherwise be required.
