Traditional campus topologies required additional cabinets, media converters and powered devices between buildings. That added capital cost, more failure points, and slower fault-finding across a growing estate.
Design teams specified Hyperspan XR Category 6 for longer point-to-point copper channels between key nodes, paired with Hyperspan connectivity, short high-quality patching, and Fluke-compatible validation guidance under real PoE load.
Fewer intermediate enclosures, cleaner pathways, and a simpler warranty-backed installation model for the contractor and estate team — with edge cameras and access points powered over the same extended copper runs.
“XR let us keep copper where fibre and mid-span gear would have complicated the estate. The topology is cleaner, and commissioning was straightforward once we validated under real camera load.”
